Talking Book Library
Did you know that Fresno County Public Library's Talking Book Library for the Blind maintains an extensive catalog of materials for pre-school-8th grade children in Fresno, Madera, Kings, and Tulare who are blind or visually impaired, or who have physical or other disabilities that hinder reading? To be able to borrow books and magazines in audio, Braille, and/or print/Braille formats, prospective patrons must fill out a brief application, but all readers with a qualifying impairment are eligible. Patrons can listen to audio books using specialized players provided by the library, and popular titles can now even be streamed using a smartphone app.
