Big Read Kick-off!

The Valley Animal Center will be co-hosting a Read-a-Thon of Call of the Wild with local celebrities. This year’s Big Read selection is a story of a dog that is kidnapped and then taken to Alaska. There he faces the harsh wilderness as a sled dog and must learn to survive. Many of my fellow furry friends have it rough here in the Central Valley and Valley Animal Center is working to help them. Valley Animal Center is a non-profit no-kill shelter and clinic for cats and dogs. Help support them in their Pennies for Pets Campaign and visit them during this Big Read event. The Read-a-Thon will be held from 10am to 3pm on March 15th at 3934 North Hayston Avenue (near Cedar and Dakota) in Fresno. For more informaiton go to the Pennies for Pets Campaign.

And checkout the library calendar of events for more fun Big Read Programs!
